An Interview with...

                                         THE PROUD HOMEOWNERS OF
                                                 2 DEVON ROAD

Q: WHAT MADE YOU FALL IN LOVE WITH THIS HOME?
A: For Tod falling in love with the home was all about Jen falling in love with it. For Jen the she fell in love

with the house because it was not just the kind of house she would love to be in as an adult but it was
also the kind of amazing street she would want to grow up on as a child. Devon Road is really an amazing
street and with enough room for our 4 kids + live-in childcare and a pool it’s all we could ask for. On top of
that we love layout of the house and how it is situated on grounds. The house was originally built in 1929,
an excellent period in home building, when higher-end homes were designed and built not just to be last

but to be spacious, luxurious and thus many homes from this era have a timeless quality. The home was
rebuilt in XXX year by YYYY architect, a master who took the bones and basic layout of the original and
          created what exists today.

Q: PLEASE DESCRIBE THE RENOVATION PROCESS...
A: Finished basement (added 1,200 sf in finished space, including home office)

          Redid blinds and shutters
Painted exterior of house and replaced all lighting fixtures

          Renovated powder room
          Significant landscaping/hardscaping
o Tore out falling down fences

          o Fenced in pool
          o Reworked stone walkways
o Tore down wall and built new wall from house to 4 Devon road property line
o Removed 20 trees, debris, invasive shrubs etc
o Planted ~60 trees and shrubs for privacy and decorative purposes

     Q: WHY ARE YOU MOVING?
A: Sadly, Tod’s mother has stage 4 metastatic cancer. Tod has been traveling back and forth from Westport

to Detroit for the past 6 months and, given COVID travel restrictions and quarantine periods, we decided it
would be better to move the family MI to be close during to his mother during this difficult time.

Q: WILL YOU MISS THE NEIGHBOR/NEIGHBORS?

A: Yes! We will miss all of them. But we will not miss them for long. We play to move back to the Greens

Farms Area when the situation with Tod’s mother is resolved.

Q: WHAT MAKES YOUR PROPERTY SO SPECIAL?

A: Simply put, there is no other street like Devon Road in Westport. The combination of location, size,

quality, proximity to the beach, having a pool + ability to add-on makes the house is incredibly unique.
We are leaving the home with a heavy heart and hope the new buyer loves the home as much as we do.
