INTERVIEW WITH
THE HOMEOWNER
Q: What made you fall in love with this home?
A: There are so many reasons we love this home, actually my husband purchased this home for me
back in 1971 as an engagement gift! What we really loved though were the mature trees, the
bright and sunny large rooms, and that it felt like a secluded retreat from reality.
Q: Please describe the renovation process.
A: Since we purchased in 1971 from the original owners, we did a series of projects as our
children grew up.
Added Primary Bathroom
Added Breakfast nook/wet bar
Renovated all bathrooms and kitchen
Finished basement and added wet bar
Added inground pool and patio
Enlarged the middle bedroom
Refinished floors in some rooms
Installed new vinyl tile floors in the lower level
Added a full bath in the lower level
Added pool house and shed
Q: Why are you moving?
A: It is hard for us to come to terms with moving after 52 years of happiness and enjoyment
here. We have always planned to retire and move to our home in New York and the time is
finally here. We are sad but excited for a lucky new set of owners to continue the story here.
Q: Will you miss the neighbors?
A: We will definitely miss the neighborhood. Its a very safe and friendly area. We loved summers
here lots of bikers, moms with strollers, everyone out and about enjoying nature!
Our pups are so happy here and we feel at peace since we fully fenced the side yard for the m
to hang out and play all day!
Q: What makes your property so special?
A: We have enjoyed nurturing our home for over 52 years. We have planted many
rhododendrons around the land mark "rock" of Old Rock lane. Our stunning dogwoods
bloom for Mother's day and the holly trees grow berries in time for the holidays. We have
such an array of wild birds that live on the property, its truly a magical setting year round.
