     INTERVIEW WITH
      THE HOMEOWNER
Q I know you looked at several properties before
deciding on 750 Burr Street… What made you fall
                in love with Lions Gate?
A We felt that after living in so many homes defined by their
neighborhood or particular development that we had reached
the stage of our lives were we had now acquired a more
sophisticated and individualized taste in home selection
Therefore we wanted to find a home that while convenient
and connected to the community was much more private and
did not feel like a Step ford wives like commoditized cliche!
We loved that while our 2 and a half plus acre gated, serene
and private property is technically part of coveted Greenfield
Hill. that our home feels more like it’s own sovereign
sanctuary and not just another (albeit impressive) home that
was part of a planned neighborhood and possessing formulaic
                floor plans.
We also love how we are so close and convenient to town
center and the train into Manhattan.
         Q
It must be difficult to leave such a magnificent
                estate… Why are you moving?
         A
The decision did not come easy! We have created memories
that will last a lifetime here, but as our children are in different
directions throughout the Northeast, we are looking to
downsize and travel more often. I think that our children and
grandkids will miss “Lions Gate” as much as we will! This has
certainly been the favorite place for our family and friends to
gather throughout the years. It will be bittersweet as we pass
this legacy of a home to the next fortunate family!
                                                                                                                        33
