TOP 10 THINGS WE LOVE ABOUT LIFE ON FOX RUN DRIVE
1. Easton Raquet Club
We will miss our wonderful friends on the street as well as our tennis friends from Easton Racquet Club which is only 7 minutes
away from the house. We have spent many years enjoying tennis and other organized club events there. Our son and many of his
friends enjoyed being part of the swim team in this family oriented gem of a facility located on Wimbledon Lane.
2. Amazing School System
The Easton Ribbon School System is recognized as one of the best in the State! Our son enjoyed every facet of his education from
Helen Keller Middle School to Joe Barlow High School and excelled in all areas of academics and sports because of the specialized
attention received.
3. Easton's Farms
Along with several equestrian horseback riding stables, Easton offers by far the most fresh produce farms in the area. We will miss
going to Silverman's Farm all year round, especially their renowned fresh baked pies. The mile high apple pie is amazing. We also
love the opportunity to pick strawberry, blueberry, peach and apples at nearby farms. We along with people who come from all
over to take advantage hot cider and donuts offered by many of the Christmas tree farm options around town during the Holiday
Season.
4. Our Villa Atmosphere
We enjoy entertaining. We will miss our Villa atmosphere and celebrating weekends, special events and anything else worth
celebrating with hot tubbing, swimming, grilling, dining under the stars and enjoying a special bottle or two from our cellar. We
also enjoyed many memorable occasions inside with unforgettable gatherings in our Great room, Billiard room as we effortlessly
moved into the adjacent Kitchen and around our large center island where nibbled and enjoyed great vintages while preparing
many delightful dinners.
5. Easton is a Great Location
Easton was rated as the best little town to live in Connecticut a few years back and it is so true! We have easy access to the CT shore,
New York City, Boston to attend concerts and other special events. For those who need to routinely go to Manhattan for work, it is
easily accessible by a short drive to the train station or highway. In terms of access, my wife and I traveled millions of miles globally
for our jobs and we found this location to provide convenient access to all nearby airports along with the best of all worlds.
6. Our Wine Cellar
We will miss our 2300 bottle wine room. We have collected special wines from all over the world for many years and take great
pleasure in having new friends come bless our cellar and established friends try new grape terroir.
7. Cul-de-Sac Living
We will miss almost 4 acres of tranquility on a quiet cul-de-sac. No traffic noise, just delightful music from the pool area outdoor
speakers, sounds of nature and mellifluous waterfall gently cascading into the pool.
8. Easton Carnival
Easton has a charming tradition; The Annual Fireman's Carnival taking place each July/August to benefit the Easton FD EMTs. It is
a 5 day event that brings old and new members of the town together. People who grew up in Easton come back every year often
with their family as a sort of old time reunion at the town center with carnival edibles, games and rides. It is a delightful experience
for children from 3 to 100 years of age.
9. The Library
The Easton Library is a wonderful place to visit to hear many guest authors present their latest book and to take kids to enjoy the
many seasonal activities offered.
10. Storage and Space
We will miss the incredible storage and closet space that our home offers with large closets and cabinetry including a walk in 10' x 6'
cedar closet on the lower level. When we designed this home we made sure to have ample space for
everything so the house would always be pristinely organized for us.
