TOP 10 THINGS WE'LL MISS ABOUT 6 BAYBERRY COMMON
1. Sunny, bright house full of large windows and warm happy spaces.
Skylights in the Living room, front entry, and Master bedroom enhance
this feeling.
2. Wooded vistas that change with the seasons and are serene and calming
throughout the year.
3. Being able to take a country walk to the post road or to Christies Country
Store, one of the last in the area. The kids enjoyed the freedom of walking to
destinations on their own.
4. Fireplaces in the Living room and lower level family room kept the house war
and cozy during the dreariest parts of winter.
5. The comfortable size of the house. Feels big without the 'MCMansion' feel of
so many of the new builds. Lots of spaces for entertaining, but also for curling
up and reading a good book.
6. Herds of deer roam along the Creek at the back edge of the property. We've
had wild turkeys nesting in the trees and watching these big birds lift themselves
in flight is magical. Lately, we've even spotted an occasional fox. Birdlife, grackles,
robins, bluebirds are around always. We love to wake up to birdsong in the spring.
7. Lots of good storage in the kitchen and wide surfaces for food prep and
serving without a hike from one end to the other. A beautiful special mosaic
over the stove. A see-through space from the kitchen through the office to the
outdoors.
8. Who else has a stained glass window in their bathroom? Makes it very special!
9. Two offices with lots of built-ins, one on main level near hub of the house, one
on lower level. Two great spaces for work at home and separate for privacy and
marital harmony.
10. Wonderful location. Equidistant from 95 and the Merritt. Easy access to the Post Road
shopping or to the offerings of Fairfield.
