Interview with the Homeowner
Q :
Q: Describe the renovation process.
A :
A: When we first purchased the home in 2002, it was originally a ranch style home that need-
ed a lot of love. We had a vision to completely transform the existing property into the
magical space it is today. The location is what truly compelled us to purchase this home!
In 2003, we underwent a complete renovation of 23 Norton Road. We finished the 2nd
level to include 4 wonderful bedrooms, a full bathroom, laundry room, bonus room, and
vaulted the master bedroom ceiling to bring in light and warmth. We installed a beautiful
new chef’s kitchen with a breakfast area for casual dining. To complete the main level, we
completed an addition off of the current family room to add more space as well as a great
office or first floor master bedroom option. A 3rd garage bay was added on for additional
storage space and parking, as well as all the gorgeous landscape you see surrounding the
property. So much care and love went into bringing this home into the current state. A
series of additions and renovations followed the main items done in 2003. The driveway
was recently paved with lovely stone pavers for character, as well as the surrounding walk
ways to and around the home. We added a front porch perfect for seating and watching
the sunrise over the beautiful Reservoir. The terrain was leveled and redesigned to ac-
commodate the perfect location for the deck off of the family room, ideal for summer
gatherings. Off of the kitchen, a stone patio was added for outdoor dining and barbeques.
We never thought about installing a pool but there is plenty of room to fit one off of the
patio or the deck. The lower level was finished with beautiful tile and windows to allow
light to enter, currently used as our exercise room and storage. This is such an incredible
versatile bonus space. This home has been completely transformed and lovingly main-
tained for the 18 years we have lived here and is sure to please its new owners!
Q: What made you fall in love with this home?
A: We were here for 18 years, we love the home and the location, but our children are older
now and after almost 20 years, we are ready to move on. We will be living close to the
area as we love everything there is to offer about Lower Easton. The lucky new owners
will surely love it too!
Q: Will you miss the neighbors?
A: Yes we will definitely miss the neighbors. They are wonderful, long term neighbors. They
are kind and respectful and the street is quiet and safe for biking and walking.
