Q: What made you fall in love with this home?
A: The old colonial style that held so much potential to be turned into a modern colonial
with out loosing its charm. We fell in love with the land. All the beautiful mature trees and
big boulders that surround the home. The privacy we have, and all the amenities are close
by, including their schools.
Q: Please describe the renovation process:
A: We had a clean slate to turn our home into everything we wanted. It took over a year for the
renovations to be completed. We had great contractors who really paid attention to all
the details. We used high quality materials. We were fully involved with every step of the
renovations.
Q: Why are you moving?
A: We are moving more north to be closer to our family. As our children are growing up we
have realized we would like to be closer to them.
Q: Will you miss the neighbors/neighborhood?
A: Yes, In the past two years more younger families have moved into the neighborhood. We
have become great friends and everyone is very friendly. I usually run in to neighbors
when we go on walks with our dog. We also love going to the hiking trails that are
minutes away at Roosevelt Forest.
Q: Tell me about the ground:
A: The view of the woods is breath taking, especially when it snows. The landscaping is easy
maintenance minimal clean up. We had beautiful privacy trees (fast growing green giants)
planted all around the property. By the next spring they will be over 10ft tall. We have river
rocks in all the flower beds. Large patio in the back that was perfect for outdoor/indoor
entertaining. We had many family barbacues.
Q: What makes your property so special?
A: The property has so much potential!! We have unfinished space over the garage for an au-pair/
mother-in-law apartment. We have invested a lot of money in making the yard look manicured by
adding trees, bushes, retaining walls, and flowers. We also cleared space in the far backyard to put a
large pool with a pool house. The privacy and the layout of the home is truly irreplaceable.
