WHAT MADE YOU FALL IN LOVE WITH 340 LONGMEADOW ROAD?
After living in a home close to town, we loved feeling like we were out in the
country while actually being just minutes away from everything that Fairfield
offers. The stone columns and lush grounds gave an estate-like presence to a
lovely home that feels cozy even though it can accommodate a crowd!

WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO PUT IN A POOL?

Doesn’t everyone secretly want a pool at some point in their lives? We loved the idea
of being the house where guests drop in for a swim on a hot summer day! Memorial
Day, July 4th and Labor Day become those occasions to put “pool party” on the
calendar! We also loved the idea of salt water...and so have our guests!

AND YOU DECIDED TO RENOVATE THE KITCHEN, TOO?

Yes, we decided on that for several reasons. As a professional baker, I love
marble counters for rolling out dough. We chose the dark cabinets because I
was a little tired of the “all-white” kitchens that have become so popular! We
felt the dark against the light made the kitchen more interesting. We also
wanted a large island where we could gather with family and friends. We’ve
had some fabulous conversations on those stools, as well as solved some
sticky homework problems and rolled out mouthwatering crusts for more
Thanksgiving pies than you can imagine! This kitchen is one of the best
decisions we’ve ever made!

WHY ARE YOU MOVING?

We are ready to move on to the next phase of our lives. Juggling the kids’
schedules and a busy work calendar means less time to spend in the pool, in
the garden or by the fire. When the kids were younger, we entertained more,
and spent time as a family, enjoying both the indoor and outdoor space. As
much as we love every inch of this home and property, we’re ready to let new
owners enjoy everything this home has to offer!
