The BPPT head also hoped the use of modest technology could boost the national economy. He mentioned that developed countries have adopted AI to develop medicines and even explored their oil and gas sectors.
"Pharmaceutical companies in advanced countries have started to partner with AI developers for their research. Even Google and Facebook do so," Hammam said.
When asked about the rumor of AI that would beat human’s roles, Hammam asserted that it was not entirely true. “The technology ofartificial intelligence does not replace humans in the employment side, but it will help, facilitate, and improve the job performance,” he concluded.
