Facility Closing and Resident Relocation

There are times when facilities close for various reasons. Ombudsmen have a role in these situations to ensure the
residents know their rights and are assisted in relocating by the facility to a new facility. When you become aware of a
facility closing, the ombudsman will increase their visible presence in that facility. You may receive complaints from
families or residents related to the closing that you would assist the resident with, with their consent and direction.
