Hi my name is Thomas Goodwin, and I have been elected to serve as your State
Master Councilor for 2024-2025.

My DeMolay career started in October of 2018 after being initiated into Albert Pike
Chapter No. 58 in San Antonio, Texas. After almost 6 years of service and 2 states,
I am able to look back upon a fruitful career which I'm not planning on ending
anytime soon. Being elected to State Master Councilor is an incredible
accomplishment only made possible by your support, and I would like to offer my
sincerest thank you. I am humbled and honored to serve in this position, and my
goal is to live up to all of your expectations as we navigate this year together.

This upcoming term, I feel we have a unique opportunity as a State to engage with
some new projects and initiatives with a fundamental goal of hitting positive growth.
I understand, from firsthand experience, what it is like not being able to share
DeMolay with many people within a chapter so we are going to work together to
ensure that we can share DeMolay with as many people as possible. One big
aspect of DeMolay, I find to be fundamental to the idea of growth, is this idea of
community engagement. Community is a concept so foundational to DeMolay as
an organization as we are a brotherhood seeking to improve one another through
leadership and service. By taking our own community within DeMolay and
expanding that through service and engagement to other local groups in the areas
our chapters meet, we can improve overall name recognition, grow our
organization, and above all serve our local communities.

Once again I want to thank each and every one of you who have entrusted this role
to me and have confidence in my ability as a leader. I am looking forward to an
amazing year full of hard work and growth, and I can't wait to see what this term
has in store!
