Dear Colorado DeMolay Members, Friends and Guests,

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the beautiful City of Fort Collins and the
grand adventure that will be Convention 2024!

State Master Councilor Tabor and his officers have been preparing for this week-
end for months. They have a full slate of fun, educational, and fraternal events
planned for your weekend. Tabor’s term this year is “Roll the dice, take a chance,”
this not only covers the adventurous nature of this weekend’s events but it’s also a
mantra to take into your daily life.

Continuing our proud tradition, we are thrilled to mark the third year of our joint cel-
ebration with the members of Colorado Rainbow for Girls. This collaboration hon-
ors our commitment to pioneering new initiatives, not only in our state, but across
the nation; while cherishing our rituals and traditions. You should take pride in
knowing that Colorado DeMolay is the first jurisdiction to continue to host a com-
bined convention, while embracing and embodying the thought that we are “better
together.”

When I was growing up in DeMolay, Convention (previously conclave) was my fa-
vorite event on the term calendar. It was always a chance to reconnect with old
friends, make some new ones, enjoy all the activities, and have way too much fun
staying up late. It was, and still is, a reminder to me of the goals, culture and com-
munity we share as DeMolays and how that can carry us through our youth and
support us as adults.

I wish the same for you this weekend (please get some sleep, though)! Welcome
to our Convention and I hope it’s filled with brotherhood, laughter, learning and
lasting memories. It’s time to embrace the thrill of decisions to “Roll the Dice and
Take a Chance.”
