As a committee, we meet regularly throughout the year to determine how
we can better assist the young men in the local chapters. We also plan
fundraisers and events that are held in honor of the Sweethearts who have
served before us. We are elected by the young men of the chapters and we
serve as liasons to the youth groups for the young ladies in our organiza-
tion.
Over the course of the year we have planned many successful events, our
Sweetheart Ball being the main event. One of our main goals this year, was
to give back to the young men of DeMolay with a Sweetheart Fund. One of
our other goals was to bring back the the Sweetheart Community Service
Award, which is given to a chapter that has completed the recommended
community service time amount.
A great chapter sweetheart should always keep in mind that she is elected
by the young men of her chapter as their representative. DeMolay is a
young man’s organization and the ladies are elected by them to assist the
chapter and aid them in the enhancement of leadership, membership, ser-
vice and other DeMolay virtues.
