To all of Colorado DeMolay,
The chance to spend the last year with you, as your Deputy State Master Councilor, was incredibly memorable.
Not only was it the first year in the state chapter without the scrutiny of having to take Covid precautions, but also a year
where I felt I got to be fully present with all my brothers. I enjoyed the time I spent with all of you and would not have trad-
ed it for anything in the world.
Being DSMC also taught me more than I ever knew before. It was a time to strive for greater duties and responsi-
bilities. Though at times it was tough or stressful, the experience was invaluable. And the support and kindness that my
brothers gave to me throughout the term of office are greatly appreciated. If it wasn’t for your help, patience, and guidance,
I would have never gone as far as I did.
To all the masonic bodies, there isn't a day that goes by when I am not reminded that we are a wide and expansive
family. Your continued support is what allows our chapters to thrive, and for that, I can never thank you enough. I have
gotten to speak for you, talk to many of you, and even join your ranks. You welcomed me as an Entered Apprentice with
open arms and continue to show me manifold gifts of brotherhood and guidance.
I would like to give a special thank you to my home chapter: Broomfield Chapter. Over the past year, I’ve seen
you grow so much, not only in chapter membership but in character as well. I know Covid rocked our world in the past, but
I’m so proud to see us reach pre-covid active members again, and to see all our stations filled more than once this year. I
also see great promise as members have taken new initiatives in planning events and memorization. I can’t wait to see the
rest of your journey.
I am also delighted to know that my brothers believe in me as much as I do. I am grateful to have been elected to
the office of State Master Councilor. I will do all in my power to live up to the expectations of all my Colorado brothers. I
promise your trust is not misplaced and by the end, we will be able to look back on strengthened bridges, and a new path
forged after a year's work well done.
Aiden, it has been amazing serving under you for the past year. I know that we don't see eye to eye at times, but
our differences also strengthened our abilities. I know you are moving on to greater things, and I can’t wait for what's in
store for you. Thomas and Jackson, I'm glad I got to spend the past year with you and get to know you two even better. I am
so excited to have you on my State Line and I know we're going to do great things together. Finally, brother Logan, who
will be entering the State Line; we have been friends even before DeMolay and you were also my first-line signer. As the
one who brought me into this great order, there is no one else I would like to conclude my state journey with.
Fraternally,
Brother Tabor Rolland Hejl
