The Importance of Social Media
The purpose of Social Media Marketing is to build a brand and increase that brand’s visibility through build- ing relationships and communicating with potential clients. The potential reach of social media to market to clients is invaluable. We can no longer avoid social media; even as daunting as it is social media one of the best marketing tools, we all can use right at our fingertips. By having a presence on social media, clients, and potential clients will not only get to know what you do as a Realtor, but you as a person.
Studies show that people are more likely to have a preference and trust things that are more familiar, this is also known as the mere-exposure effect. More than 2.7 billion people are on Facebook, 19 million in California most over the age of 30. One billion people use Instagram, 12.2 million in California, and once again the majority of the users being adults. Although Social Media is seen as a young person’s game, more and more adults are active in sites/apps such as these. By posting about yourself, the market or a property you are actively pulling in more clientele you may have previously never had.
An appropriate and well thought out strategy is essential, and can help attract and most importantly retain a clearly-defined audience. Social Media Marketing helps to validate your brand. Your social media presence, when done correctly, tells clients that the brand is active and thriving, and focused on communicating with an ever growing audience. Client loyalty is also increased which in turn results in more referrals and a larger clientele.
Through consistent audience engagement, a solid brand identity, and an established presence through social media, a dramatic increase in business can be achieved.
