tions. Lou has been actively engaged in educational outreach for over seventeen
years where he has made presentations on Chemical Engineering to various K-12
educational institutions, Universities and Educators across the United States, in-
cluding creating and overseeing hands on STEM activities at the national AIChE
annual meeting. He also was a key founding member of the AIChE team to create
and oversee a STEM display at the biannual Science and Engineering Festival in
Washington DC. Lou also helps coordinate an annual shadow day at the Hershey
Company for local High School seniors. Lou has also volunteered in multiple ca-
pacities with Junior Achievement and as an advisor to Middletown High School’s
Career Pathways program.
