Puppy Grooming
- Give puppy a bath when necessary, otherwise you can do
so every 1.5/2 weeks. Fill the sink up with enough warm water
to soak half their body. Put the shampoo in your hand warm it
and wash their body once too get the dirt and all the nasties out
then rinse off and release the water fill up with warm again and
do a second wash
-We recommend
o Prior to washing your dog, use tweezers to remove the hair in
their ears so you can clean their ears thoroughly.
o shear magic shampoo: Add some apple cider vinegar into the
shampoo (50/50 ratio of shampoo and vinegar) to help with flea
control, shine & an overall healthy coat. Add the shampoo
inside their ears and use two fingers to rub their ears, front and
back. This is to prevent ear infections. Using a diluted vinegar
solution (a bit of apple cider
vinegar in a bowl of warm water), rinse your dog with it after the
shower and dry your puppy using the hair dryer! This is to
prevent fleas and maintain a healthy coat. The 50/50 vinegar
and everyday shampoo mix is recommended for the 5L bottle as
you can keep it in stock for a long time period and more
convenient, however, you can also do this step for the 500ml
bottle if preferred.
o ProCare slicker and a comb: are the recommended brushes we
use if you have a longer haired toy poodle. The comb is good for
tangles, the slicker is a good brush if you want a thorough
grooming.
o Every 2 months add coconut oil to the dog’s body. Rub the
dogs fur with coconut oil on a sunny day. Leave it for 4 hours
and wash afterwards with the shampoo mentioned above. This
is mainly for moisturi
