Teeth
Brushing your puppy’s teeth between the ages of eight and sixteen
weeks is critical. Puppies start losing their “baby” teeth between
four and six months of age. The new, permanent, adult teeth will
push out the “baby” teeth. When your puppy begins to lose their
teeth, they may have a foul breath & you may notice blood on any
hard items they chew on. You can purchase finger toothbrushes &
toothpaste formulated for dogs. It’s flavoured so dogs love the
taste. Start with a little dab of toothpaste on your finger and let
your puppy taste it. Then slip your finger under their upper lip and
rub the toothpaste on its teeth. When you are finished, let your
puppy have a food treat.
Using 1 tablespoon of pink Himalayan Sea salt and baking soda,
mix it together with toothpaste.
I recommend you brush your dog with this mixture, it is highly
beneficial in preventing plaque build-up based on personal
experience
