COLORING FUN
Come to the Senior Resource Center in Freeport Thursday, June 2 at 9:30 am for a relaxing social time and to color. Bring your color books, crayons, mark- ers or color pencils if you have them. PAINTING CLASS
Join us Friday June 10, at 1:00 at the Senior Resource Center in Freeport. Barry Treu, Director of Education at the Freeport Art Museum, will guide you step-by-step the painting of a beautiful barn scene. Cost is $20, coffee and snacks will be available. Absolutely no talent needed to paint and be a part of this current rage of painting.

TAKE CHARGE OF YOUR HEALTH WORKSHOPS
Learn how to live well and thrive with a chronic disease like diabetes, arthritis, heart disease, chronic pain, and anxiety. Come to these workshops for sup- port, ideas on how to deal with pain and fatigue and ideas on nutrition, exer- cise and treatment choices. Call to register 815-235-9777, extension 221. EXERCISE CLASS
Join us Wednesday mornings, at 10:30 for forty-five minutes of fun and exer- cise. No experience is necessary and all fitness levels are welcome. The class, taught by Dr. Julie Smith will incorporate stretching, strengthening and aero- bic skills. Dr. Smith has a bachelor’s degree in physical education with an emphasis in dance and is a doctor of chiropractic medicine and board-certi- fied naturopath. Please register by calling the SRC at 815-235-9777, extension 221. The fee for the class is $5.00 and will be collected at the start of each ses- sion. These will be held at the Freeport location.
MEDICARE BASICS CLASS
If you are turning 65, have questions or need a refresher about Medicare, this class is for you. It is taught by Ralph Norman who is a Chartered Advisor for Senior Living. He also has 40 years of experience in insurance and financial services. He will present the basics of Medicare, Medicare Advantage, supple- ments and prescription drug plans. Bring your tough Medicare questions. Additional Appointments will be offered. Everyone is welcome to attend. There will be 2 classes held on June 21 at 10:00 and at 2:00. AARP SAFE DRIVING CLASS
The next AARP Safe Driving Classes will be held Tuesday, June 14 from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and a 2-day class June 20th and 21st from 10:00 to 2:00 These courses will provide a review of driving skills and techniques, as well as strate- gies and tips to help you adjust to normal age-related physical changes that may affect your driving ability. By taking these classes, you may receive a dis- count on your auto insurance. Cost is $15 if you are an AARP member and $20 if non-member. Bring a sack lunch for the all-day class. GROCERY BINGO
Enjoy Bingo followed by lunch Tuesday, June 28 at 9:30 a.m. at the NICAA Golden Meals site in the Crum & Forster Building, 524 W. Stephenson, Lower Level. Enter at the rear of the building. Bring a non-perishable food item for donation to the food pantry and join in the fun. If you would like to stay for lunch, please call the Golden Meals site one day prior at 815-232-8896. July 23 will be the date of the annual Senior Resource Center fund raiser. The 2016 Stroll-a-Palooza will be held from 9:00-1:00 at Oakley Courts on Kunkle Blvd in Freeport. Plan on Strolling and having a great time! There will be ven- dors, a pet parade, block party food and Strolling, Mississippi Man Music. Pick up your pledge sheet at the SRC and join us for a family fun day.
