Monroe Clinic Named in
"100 Great Community Hospital"
Rankings part of nationwide conversation
(Monroe, WI) – Becker's Hospital Review recently named Monroe Clinic among its "100 Great Community Hospitals."
"This list recognizes the important role community hos- pitals serve in our nation's healthcare landscape. It's com- piled through Becker's editorial team's extensive research and review process. Our hospital's inclusion on the list recognizes the collective dedication to healthcare excel- lence demonstrated by each of our team members and leadership," said Mark Thompson, MD, Chief Medical Offi- cer at Monroe Clinic.
Hospitals considered for this list have 550 or fewer beds and are located in both suburban and rural areas across the nation. The editorial team works through a master list of facilities selected based on original research or national rankings from such organizations as iVantage Health Ana- lytics, Truven Health Analytics, Healthgrades and CareChex to determine if the hospital is making continual strides to provide quality care.
While there is no perfect measure of healthcare quality, Dr. Thompson explained how the data and research be- hind '100 Great Community Hospitals,' as well as other rankings and recognitions, are part of an important con- versation throughout the industry.
"More than a pat on the back, it can lead to information sharing and higher quality care for all patients. As for Monroe Clinic, it also offers encouragement to keep mov- ing forward, keep improving and keep listening to the communities we serve," said Dr. Thompson.
Monroe Clinic Hospital was also named one of the Top 100 Rural & Community Hospitals in the nation by iVantage and received the Outstanding Patient Experience Award from Healthgrades this year.
