The only WWII Museum in North Florida, The Camp Gordon Johnston Museum is dedicated
to preserving the stories of the amphibious soldiers of WWII who trained here in Franklin
County.
A trip to the Camp Gordon Johnston WWII Museum is a step back into the dark days of WWII,
allowing our visitors to experience what it was like to be alive during that time. The museum
contains over 7,000 square feet of artifacts, weapons, displays, photos and videos under
one roof. There is also a small movie theatre with comfortable 1940’s cushioned seats.
The museum gift shop offers military models, shirts and hats, authentic dog tags, bottles,
buttons, ammunition clips and empty shell casings recovered from the environs of the camp
itself. Our small library houses numerous books and magazines on WWII.
In a separate section, we have space devoted to our Vietnam veterans, as well as, the War
Between the States, WWI, Korea and the Middle East conflicts.
Come visit us today! Your donation is always appreciated—be a part of preserving the history
of WWII.
