“During the year our association visit all the national
schools in our area. We have a program at the moment where
we bought 15 hives and gave them to each school to paint in
their colours. We will be populating them with bees in our apiaries
and giving a fortnightly report via social media to each school. We
also invite some children and teachers to our apiary next year to
take an active part in our inspections. The plan is for school
children to then network with all the other schools
reporting on their visits. “
