“There is no power for change like a community discovering
what it cares about”
Looking at these instances of local people coming
together asking questions and creating a world they would
wish for their children gives me hope for the future. You
can say, “look at China, they are building 12 coal powered
stations a year so what difference can we make?” but I will
say, it’s not only about Climate Change it’s about unlocking
local ingenuity and creativity. In the face of many
negatives, we can create a positive future together starting
with our imagination and our joy, talking and thinking
together. As the transition towns movement has shown us
and as long we have known; none of us is as powerful as
all of us. Yes, through vision, leadership and action each of
us can make a difference and perhaps you too can help?
Thank you Transition Town Kinsale and all those
who are part of the Transition movement. Together
