The talents of many have been brought together to make this publication a reality. Many wonderful photographers and
artists have kindly contributed their work, including:
Chris Ibbotson is known as one of Northern Ireland’s newest and up and coming Landscape Photographers. Born in
Germany but lived most of his life in Northern Ireland, his proximity to the North Antrim Coast shaped his passion
for the great outdoors and fostered his interest in Landscape Photography. His photographs hope to capture inspiring
moments of the environment, which are the result of meticulous planning and preparation.
Chris’s work has been featured in a 3 page Portfolio in the UK’s leading magazine ‘Digital SLR Photography, Sept 2014’

Joe Shaughnessy is a Galway Based Photographer. Our featured image taken during Galway’s International Arts Festival
was voted one of the top ten images of 2014 by the Irish Times.A self taught photographer, Joe’s interest in the craft began
in the early 70’s. Today, Joe is a staff photographer at the Connaught Tribune and is represented by the Kenny Gallery in

Chris May is a photographer and writer based in Co. Kerry on the Dingle Peninsula. In 2014 Chris launched his book of
photographs called “Atlantic” with an exhibition at Ionad na Blascaoid (The Blasket Centre) in Dún Chaoin, on the Slea
Head Drive.
Together with his partner, the specialist German ceramicist, Ursula Tramski, Chris runs a Gallery in Baile Éanaigh. To

Donal Mac Polin is an artist, teacher, and author of The Donegal Currachs which includes a guide to building the
Dunfanaghy currach. Together with head of archives at University College Dublin, Chriostoir Mac Chartaigh, Donal
worked on and illustrated “The Traditional Boats of Ireland”. www.Irishboatprints.com
Maurice Gunning, resident photographer at University of Limerick kindly shared photographs with us from his Irish
