1-3 Spec Engineering team members donated their time at the Green Harvest Food
Pantry across the street from their Plainfield, Illinois office location to help organize their
shelves, pack bags of food, and provide support during a busy time for the food pantry
due to COVID-19 economic stress. 4 Spec Engineering organized a local, COVID-safe
run while participating in the National Virtual J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge. Every
year, Spec participates in this run that takes place at Grant Park in Chicago, but when
it was cancelled the team organized their own race. Pictured is Brad Stevens, Director
of Projects, taking first place. 5 Spec's virtual Holiday Party. In the top left hand corner
is Carl Wockner, a musician hired to play throughout the night. He even made up an
improv song based on company words and jokes submitted by team members.
6 Spec team members participated in an Engineering Senior Project at Northern Illinois
University where students were assigned a project to help improve a confectionery line
of equipment, Candy Worx Revolv Belt Coater. 7 Spec's Brook Harter and Kevin Laud
during a live virtual demo of Small Batch Caramel Cooking Process for the Midwest IFT
4 Virtual Expo, which showcased CandyWorx, Spec’s line of confectionery equipment.
8 WSS, a Gray West project, recently opened in Anaheim, California.
