Breath Of The Holy Spirit
Guidance to Reflect On…
“Do not despair! Work steadily. Sincerity and love will conquer hate. How
many seemingly impossible events are coming to pass in these days! Set your
faces steadily towards the Light of the World. Show love to all; ‘Love is the
breath of the Holy Spirit in the heart of Man.’ Take courage! God never
forsakes His children who strive and work and pray! Let your hearts be filled
with the strenuous desire that tranquillity and harmony may encircle all this
warring world. So will success crown your efforts, and with the universal
brotherhood will come the Kingdom of God in peace and goodwill.”
— Abdu’l-Baha
“The wine of renunciation must needs be quaffed, the lofty heights of
detachment must needs be attained, and the meditation referred to in the
words ‘One hour’s reflection is preferable to seventy years of pious worship’
must needs be observed, so that the secret of the wretched behavior of the
people might be discovered, those people who, despite the love and yearning
for truth which they profess, curse the followers of Truth when once He hath
been made manifest.”
— Baha’u’llah
“Wherefore must the loved ones of God, laboriously, with the waters of their
striving, tend and nourish and foster this tree of hope. In whatsoever land
they dwell, let them with a whole heart befriend and be companions to those
who are either close to them, or far removed. Let them, with qualities like
unto those of heaven, promote the institutions and the religion of God. Let
them never lose heart, never be despondent, never feel afflicted…”
— Abdu’l-Baha
Never lose thy trust in God. Be thou ever hopeful, for the bounties of God
never cease to flow upon man. If viewed from one perspective they seem to
decrease, but from another they are full and complete. … Therefore, be thou
not hopeless under any circumstances, but rather be firm in thy hope.
— Abdu’l-Baha
