                                                          Donald the Advocate
Donald started a bullying-prevention club at his school because he wanted to help other

students learn about the ežects of bullying. He also wanted to bring awareness to the whole
school. Therefore, he told the school’s principal about his experience. As a result, the principal
hosted an anti-bully assembly. At the assembly, the principal informed the students about the
                     Anti-Bullying Policy, which states:

“The Board of Education asks every school student, with the support of his/her parent(s),
guardian(s) and the adults at school, to commit to the following principles, which will apply to
everyone on school property and at school-related activities:

                     • I will not bully others.
                     • I will try to help anyone I suspect is being bullied.
                     • I will work to include students who
                     are left out.

                     • If someone is being bullied, I will
tell an adult at school and an adult
                     at home.”
                     The principal informed the students

                     that the consequences of bullying
                     are a parent teacher conference,
after school detention, and up to
three days of suspension. He also

                     told the students that everyone
                     should feel safe at school.
