Greetings, Valley Family!

I extend a warm welcome to Mississippi Valley State University’s students, faculty, staff, and our
devoted alumni to the 25th Annual Chicago Classic.

It is beyond exciting to witness our beloved MVSU football team competing against Central
State University. This event provides a national platform at the iconic Solider Field, where we can
proudly showcase the culmination of hard work and dedication.

Gratitude is due to Athletic Director Hakim McClellan and Head Football Coach Kendrick Wade
for their time and effort in making this opportunity a reality. We are confident that our time in
Chicago will significantly contribute to elevating the university’s brand and reach.

During our stay, I have full faith that our student-athletes and coaches will exceed expectations,
and those efforts will be reflected in how we compete. We expect our student-athletes to
demonstrate an abundance of heart and athleticism during the competition. The surge of morale
evident across our campus is a testament to the incredible achievements of this exceptional team.

I also like to express a heartfelt “thank you” to the fans who made the journey to Chicago to
support our Delta Devils. Please know that your presence supports the student-athletes and the
coaches. At MVSU, we believe that we are all connected, and we express this in our eight-word
mantra: One Goal. One Team. One Valley…In Motion!
