Dampproofing vs Waterproofing
• Applied as a surface coating
• Designed to prevent water from absorbing and wicking through wet concrete
• Repellent sealers (Example: Foxfire 5000WB/Foxfire Ultra Stain Repellent)
• Hydrophobic-reduce absorption, but not enough to resist significant water pressure
• Will not resist water under pressure.
Structures under hydrostatic pressure must be waterproofed
