of the 2 nos. DTRs. Total length of the circuit is 750 meter. Darapara 52.14% 0.75 1.63
The loss level before implementing the scheme was around
52.14% and after successful completion of project the loss Tangra 33.08% 3 2.63
was substantially reduced. The lost MU saved was 1.63 MU.

CONCLUSION

Though co-axial cable is a proven technology in the
telecommunication field but in the field of distribution
of electricity it is yet to be proven. So we had executed
POC before implementation of pilot projects. The main
challenge was to drawl of co-axial cable along with
termination at newly designed junction box. However,
we have managed to develop the fittings for drawl
along with junction box. After success in POC, we have
implemented several pilot projects and we got expected
results. So the new technology relevant to our business
was introduced successfully. We have decided to replace
existing overhead network with co-axial cable in pilfer
prone areas where illegal abstraction takes place from
overhead main line.

After successful implementation of POC with
underground network, UG coaxial cable will be drawn in
near future.
