The Probe was fitted in the designed Probe holder which
was in turn fitted at the bottom half of the MOP Casing by
two nos. M8 HT Allen Head bolts and one no. Dowel pin.
Drilling & tapping (Figure 4) was carried out at the MOP
casing bottom half for fixing the arrangement (Figure 6).
The total arrangement was housed inside the No. 1
TG Bearing pedestal. The Probe cable was terminated
outside at a JB for online MOP Axial Shift measurement.

precautions and finally was done perfectly. A dowel pin
was fitted additionally on the probe holder for ensuring
rigidity and locating purpose.

During Overhauling in FY 2020-21 the Axial Shift Probe
was fitted at BBGS Unit#3.
Details of Component Used
1. One MOP Axial Shift Probe (Sensonics Make
Eddy Current Probe Type ECP1/2/IS2241).
2. One MOP Axial Shift Probe holder.
3. Two no. M8 HT Allen Head Screw.
3. One M6 Dowel Pin.
4. Connecting Cable.
