Dr Elise McConnell
Orthodontist
BDS, BScDent (Hons), DClinDent (Orth), MRACDS (Orth), MOrthRCS (Edin)
Elise grew up in Wahroonga and attended Abbotsleigh. She graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor
of Dental Surgery (First Class Honours) in 2011. Elise was awarded the University Medal for her academic achievements.
Elise worked in private practice in Mount Gambier prior to moving to Sydney to complete her Doctor of Clinical Dentistry
in Orthodontics. Elise also received membership with the RACDS and the RCS Edinburgh. She was awarded the John McDonald Medal for first place internationally in her orthodontic clinical cases. Following graduation in 2016, Elise moved to Canberra and has been working in orthodontic private practice for several years.
Elise is a mother of three young children, who keep her busy when she is away from the clinic. Elise and her family have recently moved back to Sydney and have settled in the North Shore. Elise is delighted to have joined the team at North Shore Orthodontics.
Beth Kruize
Dental Therapist/Hygienist
Beth is originally a country
girl from Tamworth, and after graduating from the Westmead School of Dental Therapy in 1986 she commenced practice in Orange as a school dental therapist.
After a number of years in clinical practice, she returned to Sydney and began her long career in orthodontics. During this time she also spent three years working in London, broadening her orthodontic therapy experience.
Beth has been working for North Shore Orthodontics as a dental therapist/hygienist since 2008.
Kim Watkins Practice Manager
Kim grew up in Eastwood and started her dental career in
1979 as a chair side assistant
in general dentistry. She then moved to assist a specialist endodontist before joining North Shore Orthodontics. She has worked with us since 1986, developing her professional
skills and attaining the role of Practice Manager along the way. During that time she gained
her Dental Assistants, Dental Health Education and Dental Radiograph Certificates. Kim is our team leader at North Shore Orthodontics and her long standing professional but caring service has earned her many friends along the way. Kim lives on the Northern Beaches with her husband Grant and daughter Lily with their beautiful dog George. She loves to entertain and travel to new places.
