6.2 RESULTS 6.2.1. MEMBERS
A total of 2,127 members were represented across the organisations that responded to this question of the survey. As shown in Figure 2, the proportion of women was less than that of men with 42% of members being women (i.e. 883 out of 2127 members).
When looking at the distribution in individual organisations (Figure 3), it is interesting to note that 6 organisations (26%) had less than a third of their members being women, while only 2 organisations (9%) had more than a third of their members being women.

6.2.2. COMPOSITION OF EXECUTIVE BOARDS OF ITALIAN ORGANISATIONS
Across the Italian organisations in SA that responded to this question, there were a total of 210 members on executive boards. Interestingly, the overall proportion of women was similar to that of the members of these organisations with 41% of the executive board members being women (Figure 4), corresponding to a total of 86 women.
When looking at the distribution in individual organisations, there were more organisations with a lower proportion of women on their boards (Figure 5), with 14 organisations (54% of the 26 respondents) having more men than women, and 5 organisations (19%) having no women on their executive board. By contrast, only 10 organisations (39%) had more women than men on their executive board and only one executive board was totally composed of women (indicated by an arrow).
