Introducing another of our very special San Foundation
Hearts of Gold
Jenny has spent much of her life, not far from the San. She spent her school years living in Pymble, attending Gordon Public School and later Hornsby Girls High School.
After years working in the UK, Jenny returned to Sydney for a 30- year career with Coca-Cola Amatil.
She and her late partner, Myrick spent 42 happy years together enjoying many travelling adventures and Jenny fondly remembers him introducing her to snow skiing.
It was Jenny’s love of skiing that commenced her connection with
the San as a patient in 2017 for her first knee replacement. Whilst this first replacement went smoothly, unfortunately on her second in 2021, Jenny’s heart stopped, and she subsequently spent another
4 weeks in the San recovering. During this time Jenny’s partner, Myrick was also being treated at the San for aggressive prostate cancer and very sadly passed away in May 2022.
Despite these obstacles, Jenny’s desire to keep enjoying life to
the fullest has seen her recently undergo this second & successful knee replacement under the wonderful care of Dr Ali Gursel.
It is Jenny’s deep gratitude for the care she and Myrick have received, that she has chosen to include a gift in her Will to San Foundation.
‘Leaving a gift in my Will is my way of recognising the high standard of care and compassion I received as a patient, as well as the wonderful level of care my late partner Myrick received’.
‘I cannot thank Dr Gursel and Prof Marx enough for the care and attention they have provided to Myrick and myself’.
