The Key Strategic Pillars cover:
1. Clubs – need to offer In2Cricket, Juniors Boys and Girls, Senior 2. Implementing a senior Women’s Competition
3. Legally separate Associations – e.g.; Coaches Rep, Umpires
4. Community partnerships with all 3 levels of government
5. Succession planning for all Executive positions.
Association Integrity Cup
There isn’t much that Barry McDonald, our Chairperson hasn’t achieved during his involvement with Cricket. This year, Barry was awarded the prestigious Association’s Integrity Cup for the 2nd time. This adds to an impressive list of achievements for Barry at Club and Association level.
Greenway Park Community Development
We are pleased to announce Julian Leeser,
our local Federal Member has confirmed
$2.7m to build a sporting community centre at Greenway Park. This is the result of tremendous collaboration between the local sporting groups that will help to make Greenway Park into a showpiece for our community. Julian’s hard work included convincing several senior government ministers (Mathias Cormann, Steve Ciobo and Michael Sukkar) to attend Greenway Park to sell them on the concept and highlight the lack of facilities.
The initiative involves building a Community facility built between Greenway 1 and 2 ovals. It would provide a Community facility for the various sporting clubs and players who use Greenway (Cricket, AFL, Little Athletics, Netball and Rugby League). The building will provide a place to hold meetings, watch games, provide a place to display our trophies and storage facilities for gear. We are also in discussions with Cricket NSW and other parties about opportunities to invest in the cricket infrastructure on Greenway 2.

The landscape continues to move rapidly and we need to not just adapt to this change but be one step ahead. The Norwest Metro rail initiative is progressing and this will open up higher density housing, add pressure to grounds and provide the opportunity for competing sports to gain a foothold.
We are not sitting still. Our current 3-year Club Strategy has been a success and will be refreshed this year. Last season we completed a Survey of our people and had 284 responses. This has given us a fact based insight into what is working and what we can improve.
We have an outstanding Leadership Team, a solid base and the Vision to embrace the challenges ahead.
