Siddharth’s enthusiasm is always a motivation for the team, when wicket keeping and fielding, he is always calling out to keep our team alert and on their toes. Siddharth’s bowling skills have really improved this season, his accuracy and consistency make it hard work for the opposition batters. Siddharth received the teams bowling award which was well deserved.
Rithvik is another member of the team injecting the spirit, big celebrations when out team takes a wicket! Rithvik’s bowling has come along in leaps and bounds this season in the last few training sessions and games he bowled with a nice line with most balls on or close to the stumps.
Henry has had a great season; Henry is a very technically correct batter who plays his defensive shots well and waits for the loose ball to make his shots. Henry received the batters award for the season which was well deserved.
Leon is a fierce competitor who loves playing with his teammates. He plays his shots all around the park and his pace when bowling make batting a challenging task for the opposition. Leon’s running between the wickets is second to none, he has had a great season.
Raj always comes to cricket with a big smile on his face! Raj has had a massive improvement this season in all aspects of his game, while batting he is starting to use his feet more helping him to make his shots. Raj took some nice wickets toward the back end of the season, he really focused on his line and length, well done Raj!
James’s bowling has improved out of sight throughout the season. James was able to consistently keep the ball on the stumps which caused havoc for the opposition batters. James has also batted well his drives are great to watch!
Estelle is a player that has really grown in confidence over the season, she is a great team player that loves playing with her teammates. She is happy to go across and fill in for the other team, she received our teams Team award on presentation day for the spirit she plays with! On one day Estelle ran out five batters, four of them with direct hits, I have never seen fielding like it and may well never see it again!!
Jake loves his cricket and loves to compete, his skills have improved over the season with his bowling improving markedly, Jake is also a nice batter we have seen many nicely timed drives from him throughout the season. Jake always has a smile on his face and his enthusiasm lifts his team.

U10 Gold
2024 saw the West Pennant Hills Cherrybrook Under 10 Gold team embark on their second season together, showcasing not only their cricketing skill but also their growing maturity and sportsmanship. This season was marked by the celebration of each other’s successes and a great display of team spirit.
Team Highlights: Throughout the season, the team demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship, constantly supporting and celebrating each other’s achievements. Their unity and encouragement on and off the field was great, setting a positive example for young cricketers everywhere.
