Senior Program
YEARS 11-12
All that we do at St Gabriel’s is focused on educating our students for life beyond school.
There is a strong focus on Vocational Educational Training (VET) electives such as Food Technology, Workshop Practices, VET Hospitality and Work Placement in Stage 6 (Years 11 and 12). Students will have the opportunity to gain certification in various VET courses increasing their options to gain employment in the hospitality industry.
The School also has strong links to the local community to further provide opportunities to develop their vocational skills by undertaking work experience on a regular basis. Work experience is a strong part of our Senior program and it also builds on the skills students have gained across the junior years. This program is designed to encourage workplace skills, communication and social skills and independence, ultimately providing the necessary skills for success post school.
