At Blacktown, we have DA approval to redevelop land owned by the Hardi Group along Mort and Stephen Streets.
Developing this land will give us the ability to provide accommodation in predominantly single rooms with ensuites and access to garden courtyards.
At Penrith, our intention is to build an additional storey onto the existing home, providing the opportunity to reduce the number of beds in each of the rooms. We are currently in the process of finalising an amended application to Council.
In most instances, despite the fact that we plan to add additional rooms, we anticipate that we will not increase bed capacity in line with the additional built space. We have made a commitment to provide more living space for residents, in turn providing a nicer experience and making it easier to manage outbreaks if required.
In other instances, namely at Summer Hill,
These homes will enjoy new furnishings and fit- outs, as well as the potential re-allocation or re- purposing of spaces to provide for better use.
In relation to all the projects, we have engaged the professional services of John Flower Architect and Gilmore Interior Design to assist with this process. Once we are in a position to progress options, including preferred furnishings, we will seek feedback from residents and their families. Hopefully, following this consultation period, we will be able to incorporate any pertinent suggestions and expedite a timely implementation.
