Towards the end of the season, the yellow team hit their stride and won almost all games after Christmas across the district, including some real nail biters. This led to a lot of excitement for the parents too! The success reflected the team’s supportive atmosphere and the rapid development, particularly for our newer players. For experienced players it was all about helping their friends do better and win the games. Thank you to every player, parent, our manager and our (two!) coaches for making this happen and have a fun-filled season! Looking forward to 2025/26!
U12
Gold
The U12 Gold boys have enjoyed a fantastic season of cricket, finishing it off with a great victory in the Grand Final!
It has been wonderful to have the core of our team return for the 24-25 season. Eight of the group have been enjoying cricket together for many years now. We welcomed our 9th member, JP, in the 23-24 season. And this year we welcomed our 10th member, Ollie.
JP - the ultimate team player, gives it his all and always with a positive attitude, Player of the Match in the Grand Final, significant contributions with bat and ball.
Ollie - an excellent addition to our line-up, a wonderful effort in the semi final with bowling figures of 3- 5 which included a stunning caught & bowled
Matthew - we missed him for most of the season through injury but great to see him back in the whites for our last few games. Best bowling figures of 2-4, a crucial effort in the penultimate round
Daniel - great to see his skills continue to develop, particularly with the ball in hand, and two catches in the Grand Final. In the field contributed to 6 run outs through the season
Rishabh - another player who gives it his all, played some delightful shots guiding the ball through the gully or clipping it off his legs
Seb - consistent and passionate, very good behind the stumps and always in the game, a safe pair of hands in the field
Armaan - our no1 keeper, did a wonderful job behind the stumps and kept the byes to a minimum. Delighted us all with some leg spin late in the season
Saafir - stand and deliver - high score of 76 early in the season and then a 40 in the final was a crucial innings
Henry - leading run scorer with 321 for the season and a great leader in the field. He's taken 7 catches and involved on 4 run outs, while organizing the field and encouraging the bowlers
