Eleanor O’Byrne (11yo) - A really good season for Eleanor. Eleanor showed great potential with her batting, scoring many runs, and she did well with her bowling. Lots of fun on the field too, keeping her teammates entertained during the overs with her cheeky nature. Eleanor played really well, and we are looking forward to next season.
Anusha Nadesan (9yo) - Joined the team this season and was welcomed with open arms by the team. Anusha is very new to cricket and keen to play. She may follow in her dad's footsteps with the same energy for cricket. Starting with some difficulties in the bowling action, she soon developed into a very good bowler. Unfortunate not to get more wickets than she did, but that will happen. Anusha took on her batting well and had great fun with the bat. Well done on your first season.
Isabelle Shepherd (10yo) - Joined the team this season and was welcomed with open arms by the team. Isabelle is also very new to cricket and keen to play. Quickly overcoming some difficulties in the bowling action, she grew confident enough to be a good bowler. Isabelle also took on her batting well and had great fun with the bat, scoring lots of valuable runs when needed. Well done on your first season.
Best Batting - Emily Whiting had a cumulative total of 169 runs. Best Bowling - Emily Whiting - 9 Wickets in total.
Most Improved - Eleanor O’Byrne consistently improved throughout the year and ended up with the second-highest wickets, taking five and accumulating 51 runs scored.
Some great team performances with challenging weather conditions and playing surfaces throughout the season. Team Harris had a great team spirit and continued from last season in believing in their ability, the overall team confidence grew from week to week.
Special thanks again to Darshini for managing the team and keeping us all in line.
Thank you again to the parents for being part of the girls' cricket and helping on game night, ground setup, scoring, warmups etc. and letting me oversee their cricketing journey.
To the girls. Congratulations on their continued commitment for turning up each week and doing their best, it made the whole season a joy to be part of and to see them all develop as a team. Congratulations girls.
