EXPERIENCE OPTIMISATION
When planning a Print to AR campaign it’s not only important to ensure that the content is high quality, engaging and aligned with the campaign but it’s also important to make sure the delivery of it is as “magical” as possible. The following are some tips on how to optimise the delivery of Print to AR Video campaigns.
Markers: The follow points should be followed when optimising markers for Print to AR campaigns:
1. Make the marker the same shape and aspect ratio of the video that is being delivered (e.g. square marker = square video)
2. Integrate the marker into the print so that it looks like the print design was meant to have an AR component (i.e. try to not “just take a slice out of” pre-existing print to make a marker)
3. Make the marker image the same as the first frame of the video so that when the video starts to play it looks like the “image comes to life”.
4. Utilise green screen (transparent) elements in video to create shapes in the experience (e.g. add a green screen layer
with circular cut out over a video to create the effect of an experience playing in a circular marker).
5. Utilise green screen (transparent) backgrounds on videos of people and then “Rotate the video at 900 – this is just a back-end setting) to create the effect of people standing on print interacting with the customer.
