In Our Bamboo Garden
Our Bamboo Garden, a peaceful walkway many pass through on their way to the car park, has recently been given a gentle refresh, thanks to the generosity of supporter Lesley.
Lesley, who passes through the garden on her way to dialysis, wanted to bring a little extra joy to the space. Inspired by her connection to the hospital, she offered to help enhance the garden for others to enjoy.
With her support, fresh plants, mulch, and cheerful ornamental birds and animals have been added, transforming the area into
a small sanctuary for patients, families, staff, and visitors alike.
Next time you stroll through the Bamboo Garden, take a moment to notice the thoughtful touches that now brighten the space, and the kindness behind them.
Small acts of generosity like this help make our hospital feel more welcoming and comforting for everyone.

The Tovertafel Experience
Thanks to a generous grant from the James Kirby Foundation, the Tovertafel has been introduced into the Rosella Activity Room, supporting patients living with dementia.
This interactive technology encourages movement, engagement, and shared connection, creating moments of joy, calm, and interaction for patients, families, and carers.

Rod’s Prostate Cancer Fundraiser
A heartfelt thank you to Rod and everyone who supported his recent prostate cancer fundraiser.
This initiative has enabled a full year of weekly exercise sessions for 12 men undergoing treatment and recovery.
These programs support strength, wellbeing, and confidence, helping patients regain physical and emotional resilience during and after treatment at the San.
