Because Every Heartbeat Counts
Clinicians, nurses, specialists, and community supporters recently came together to launch the San Foundation’s Heart Campaign, an ambitious initiative aiming to raise $2.9 million to strengthen and advance Cardiac Care at the San.
Throughout the evening, guests heard from keynote speakers
Dr Jason Sharp (Structural and Interventional Cardiologist), and
Dr Emily Granger (Cardiothoracic Surgeon), who shared their vision for the future of heart care and
the growing need for innovation, technology, and timely treatment
in an increasingly complex healthcare environment. They spoke about the remarkable advancements being made in cardiac care, the challenges facing a growing and ageing population, and the importance of ensuring patients have access to world- class treatment close to home. Their insights highlighted how continued investment in equipment, technology, infrastructure and
clinical innovation can help deliver better outcomes for patients and their families.
The event was a powerful reminder that progress in healthcare is never achieved alone. When clinical excellence and community generosity come together, innovative ideas can become lifesaving outcomes for patients and families across our community. Support from donors plays a
vital role in helping bring these advancements to life, ensuring clinicians have access to the tools and resources needed to provide the highest standard of care.
This launch marks the beginning of an important journey to help ensure the San remains at the forefront of world-class cardiac
care for generations to come. Through the Heart Campaign, the San Foundation aims to help fund critical initiatives that will enhance patient care, support clinical excellence, and shape the future of cardiac services for our community.
