Like what?
I have the gift of preaching. People stop and listen when I speak.
I have the gift of being able to speak different languages. I can communicate with many people.
I have the gift of prophecy, to challenge the injustices in
the world.
I have the gift of healing, to renew broken spirits.
I have the gift of speaking clearly so that I can help people to interpret the Word and Will of God in their lives.
Holy Spirit, this is your night!
The Spirit came to the disciples and empowered them to go out to the ends of the earth and bring good news to the poor.
Empowered to go outside? Weren’t they afraid and anxious?
The Spirit gave them the greatest of gifts, the gift of faith.

Faith to speak out against injustice. Faith to believe in the good news.
Faith to stand up for what we believe to be right and true.
Faith to dream new dreams. Faith to see new visions. Faith to live the good news.
Holy Spirit, this is your night!
When the day of Pentecost came around the disciples were gathered in one room. The Spirit of God came amongst them and empowered them with different gifts. They left the room and travelled to the corners of the earth, preaching the good
news of love and forgiveness.
It’s the Holy Spirit, come tonight. Fire of God’s love,
Fire of God’s might.
Come Holy Spirit,
This is your night!
