3.4.4 SHARING:
What words did the witness use to describe
the rescuer? Which word in the passage most closely resembles the word ‘spirit’? What do we usually mean when we use this word?
There were gifts of the Spirit active in the
early Church. They are still very active in our world today and each of us has been gifted
in some way by the Spirit. The Holy Spirit
kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control, wisdom, understanding, the spirit of right judgement, courage, the spirit of knowledge, reverence, the spirit of wonder and awe.
Peter used his gifts to reach out and heal the sick (like the crippled beggar at the Beautiful Gate).
Think of these gifts of the Spirit and about with which of these God has gifted you. Remember, we are all children of God and have been given different gifts to share with others. Write a letter to God about how you reach out or intend
to reach out with your gifts to help others. Remember the Holy Spirit will inspire you.
