“Blindness Is Not Who I Am”

Hi, I'm Harley. I am a senior at Bowie High School. I hang out
with friends and travel a lot. Math is my favorite subject. I can play
guitar, accordion, French horn, mandolin, ukulele, and piano. My
favorite music to listen to and play is classic rock. Each hunting
season, I am subjected to several weekends of cold, damp, hunting
trips—often ending with no results. Oh, and I am blind. Blindness is
often the only characteristic people remember about me, however,
there's a lot more to who I am.
