By-Mail Absentee
If you would like to receive an absentee ballot by mail, you may
apply online, vote.elections.virginia.gov or download a paper
application from https://www.alexandriava.gov/elections/info/
default.aspx?id=1720. The deadline to apply for an absentee ballot
by mail is 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16.
In-Person Absentee
Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
for in-person absentee voting. You may do so at the Alexandria
Voter Registration Office, 132 North Royal Street. The deadline
to vote in-person absentee is 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 20. If a
voter chooses to cast an absentee ballot in person, the voter will be
asked to remain in their vehicle or outside the office and call the
office at 703.746.4050 to begin curbside absentee voting.
