Dear Diary,

Today is my birthday. Mom and Dad gave me a

bicycle. Grandpa sent me a lot of apples. I got some

cards and gifts from my friends. I’m so happy.

I looked at my watch. I thought about my

grandma again. She gave me the watch three years ago.

It’s my favorite gift.

I lived with my grandma when I was little. She

read me stories and played with me. We picked apples

and made cookies together. I had a great time with my

grandma. I miss her so much.
