Cutting into a Card Front and Stamping Through
Combining stamps and dies can give your cards the illusion of depth and dimension. By die cutting apertures with several dies you can create interesting shaped apertures that mirror your stamps.
In the example, the aperture in the front of the card has been cut using
the Rare Earth Rose, Calla Lily and Chrysanthemum dies, which have coordinating stamps. Each die has been cut out of the front of the card, overlapping the shapes to create the desired look. The flowers have then been stamped, cut out with the dies, and stuck to the inside of the card so that they line up with the aperture.
As an added finishing touch, a large sentiment die has been cut out and placed over the aperture so it floats over the stamped flowers.
