Shaping a Card Edge/Top
Play with the edges of your cards to mix up the usual shapes of store-bought cards by using your pattern dies. Pretty lacy borders make perfect feminine cards for all occasions.
In the example shown, using the Tattered Lace Antique Lace Circle 3D Decoupage die, the die has been placed halfway over the edge of a card base, cutting only a portion of the die. This can be achieved by placing the die partially over the edge of the cutting plate. The portion of the die not touching the cutting plates will not cut.
Even if you only have simple shape dies, you can still cut into your card edges for new designs. Partially cut triangles make jagged edges, or cut semi-circles for a bubbly, cloud-like effect.
